Sync tasks and timelines across your workspace for better visibility and speed.
Overview
This integration keeps your workspace in sync with an external tool by automatically reflecting updates across both systems. Tasks update their status based on changes in linked objects — for example, moving from In Progress to Done when the associated item is completed. Manual updates are no longer necessary.
Tasks created in the external system can be synced automatically into your workspace, and comments or other changes reflect bidirectionally. You can streamline workflows using a keyboard shortcut to generate a branch name, assign the task, and move it to In Progress in a single action.
How it works
Set up the integration in just a few minutes by authenticating and selecting which items or projects to connect. Once connected, anyone in the workspace can begin linking external items to internal tasks.
Linking can be done by including the task ID in a branch name, title, description, or message. These references create a two-way link between the task and the external item, keeping both contexts connected.
You can define workflow automations on a per-team basis, so tasks move automatically between statuses based on changes in linked objects. Personal automation settings can be enabled to assign tasks and transition them automatically.
It’s also possible to sync newly created tasks from the external tool to specific teams — useful for public or shared projects. Comments, assignees, status changes, and other updates are mirrored across both systems.
Configure
An administrator can enable the integration from the workspace settings. Linking through specific events or object references can be toggled independently.
Once enabled, all members can manage automation settings at the team or personal level. Advanced configuration options are available, including autolinking and connecting enterprise accounts hosted in the cloud or on private infrastructure.
Certain deployment types may require separate configuration — for example, when integrating with self-hosted instances.
